SEO Autopilot Pro by Web Champion

Privacy Policy

Effective 9 August 2026

The short version

  • SEO Autopilot Pro reads your website or store so it can audit and improve your SEO, and writes back only the SEO changes you approve (or allow on autopilot).
  • On Shopify we access products, collections, images, and online-store navigation. We do not access your orders, your customers, or any payment or checkout data.
  • We store no shopper personal data. Enquiry tracking records counts only (how many taps or form submissions), never the contents.
  • To write titles, descriptions, and image alt text, we send your page and product text to our AI provider, Anthropic. It is not used to train AI models.
  • We never sell your data or use it for advertising. You can disconnect at any time, and uninstalling deletes your access token immediately and the rest of your data shortly after.

This summary is for convenience only. The full policy below governs.

1. Who we are

SEO Autopilot Pro is an automated search-engine-optimisation service operated by Web Champion, a web agency based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (“SEO Autopilot Pro”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). SEO Autopilot Pro connects to a website or online store you own or manage — through our WordPress plugin or our Shopify app — audits it for SEO issues, and applies improvements you approve.

This policy explains what information we access and collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the SEO Autopilot Pro dashboard, the WordPress connector, the Shopify app, and our related websites and emails (together, the “Service”).

2. Information we access and collect

2.1 Content from your website or store

To audit and improve your SEO, SEO Autopilot Pro reads content from the site or store you connect. Depending on the platform, this includes page and product titles, descriptions and body text, headings, URLs, meta tags and structured data, links, image files and their filenames, and site navigation. We store this content so we can analyse it, track changes over time, and generate improvements.

On Shopify specifically, the app requests access only to: products, collections, files (images), and online-store navigation. It reads these to audit your storefront and writes back SEO fields (meta titles and descriptions), image alt text, and URL redirects. The app does not request or access orders, customers, checkout, payments, or any other shopper data.

2.2 Account and contact information

When you or your agency set up SEO Autopilot Pro, we collect the email address used to sign in and any business details you provide during setup — for example a brand name, target keywords, and a business contact phone, email, or address used for local-SEO and structured data. This information is provided by you and is about your business.

2.3 Authentication tokens

To act on your behalf we store access credentials for the services you connect: for Shopify, an Admin API access token, held encrypted at rest; for Google Search Console (WordPress sites that opt in), OAuth tokens used to read your search-performance data. You can revoke these at any time by uninstalling the app or disconnecting the integration.

2.4 Performance and audit data

We generate and store SEO audit results, scores, issue lists, and suggested fixes for your site. For sites that connect Google Search Console and PageSpeed Insights, we store the search-performance and page-speed metrics those services return. Where our connector measures on-site enquiries, it records aggregate counts only— for example the number of phone taps, email taps, or form submissions per day — and never the phone numbers, email addresses, or form contents themselves.

2.5 Technical logs

Like most online services, our servers keep operational logs (such as request times, error traces, and job outcomes) needed to run, secure, and debug the Service.

3. How we use information

  • To audit your site or store and identify SEO issues.
  • To generate improvements — meta titles and descriptions, image alt text, redirects, structured data, and draft content.
  • To apply the changes you approve (or, if you enable autopilot, the confident changes you have authorised to apply automatically).
  • To produce reports, grades, and activity feeds that show the work done and the results.
  • To provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
  • To communicate with you about your account, including a periodic proof-of-work summary email you can opt out of.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. AI processing

SEO Autopilot Pro uses artificial intelligence to write SEO content. When we generate a title, description, alt text, or draft article, we send the relevant text from your site — such as product and page titles, descriptions, body text, and image filenames — to our AI provider, Anthropic, which returns the suggested copy. We do not send Anthropic your orders, your customers, or any shopper data, and we do not send raw image files.

Under Anthropic’s commercial API terms, content sent through the API is not used to train their models. The generated suggestions are grounded in your own content; the Service is designed not to invent facts, prices, or claims about your business.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with advertisers. We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service, and only as needed for them to do so:

  • Anthropic— AI generation of SEO content (see section 4).
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)— cloud hosting and storage of the Service and its database.
  • Google— for sites that connect it, to read Search Console and PageSpeed Insights data on your behalf.
  • Our email provider— to deliver account and report emails.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), subject to this policy.

6. Data storage and security

The Service and its database are hosted on AWS infrastructure. We protect data in transit with HTTPS/TLS, and we encrypt sensitive credentials — such as your Shopify Admin API token — at rest. Connector authentication tokens are stored only as one-way hashes where we never need to reproduce them. Access to production systems is limited to authorised personnel. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your site or store is connected and your account is active, so we can provide the Service and show change history. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

  • Uninstalling the Shopify app immediately revokes and deletes the stored access token, so we can no longer access your store.
  • Shop data erasure. Shopify sends a shop-redact request about 48 hours after uninstall; on receiving it we delete the data we hold for that store.
  • Disconnecting a WordPress site or Google integrationrevokes the relevant tokens and stops further data collection.
  • Account deletion. Contact us to close your account and delete your data, subject to any records we must retain for legal or accounting reasons.

8. Shopify merchants — compliance webhooks

For merchants who install our Shopify app, we implement Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks:

  • Customer data request and customer redact: SEO Autopilot Pro stores no shopper personal data, so there is no shopper information for us to return or erase; we acknowledge these requests accordingly.
  • Shop redact: we delete the data we hold for your store, as described in section 7.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. This includes rights under the Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)), the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation, and the California Consumer Privacy Act, as applicable.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 13. We will respond within the time required by the applicable law. Because SEO Autopilot Pro holds business content and account information rather than shopper records, most requests concern the account holder and the connected site.

10. International transfers

We are based in Australia and use service providers located in Australia, the United States, and elsewhere. Your information may be processed in, and transferred to, countries other than the one you live in, whose data-protection laws may differ. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

11. Children

The Service is a business tool and is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top, and for material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
